Ένα ακόμη βραβείο για την ελληνική μικρού μήκους ταινία έρχεται από το 41st Annual Worldfest στο Χιούστον του Τέξας. Το βραβείο ονομάζεται Remi και στο παρελθόν το έχουν αποκτήσει με τις πρώτες τους δουλειές ονόματα όπως των: Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Ang Lee, John Lee Hancock, Ridley Scott, Robert Townsend, Randall Kleiser, The Coen Brothers, Spike Lee, Oliver Stone και David Lync. Το WORLDFEST είναι το τρίτο πιο παλιό φεστιβάλ μετά το Tribeca και το Sundance.

Φέτος βραβεύτηκε για την μικρού μήκους ταινία του «Δύσκολοι έρωτες» (την είδαμε εφέτος στη Δράμα – αρκετά παραπεταμένη είναι η αλήθεια και φυσικά αγνοημένη στις διαδικασίες των βραβείων ) ο σκηνοθέτης Μάριος Γαρέφος.

Το WORLDFEST είναι το τρίτο πιο παλιό φεστιβάλ μετά το Tribeca και το Sundance. Ενα φεστιβάλ που κάθε χρόνο απονέμει στις τέσσερις καλύτερες ταινίες μικρού μήκους τα εξής βραβεία:

• PLATINUM REMI AWARD,
• GOLD REMI AWARD,
• SILVER REMI AWARD,
• BRONZE REMI AWARD.

Ο σκηνοθέτης Μάριος Γαρέφος κλίθηκε να παραλάβει ένα απο τα παραπάνω βραβεία .

Η απονομή θα γίνει στις 19 Απριλίου από το Grand Awards Gala dinner όπου και γίνεται η επίσημη απονομή. Ο Μάριος θα παρευρεθεί εκεί για την μεγάλη στιγμή που δικαιώνει την ταινία του!
